  • Amanda is a 42 year old woman of English and Aboriginal (palawa) decent. Her childrens father is a Bundjalung, Gambaynggirr man so the importance of Aboriginal culture in my family is strong, espically the woman, in both her families.

She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Rmit and Bachelor of Teaching & Visual Arts at Deakin and has completed many murals with schools, councils, hospitals etc.

She has been diagnosed with a chronic mental illness and says, "Art is my everything to keep me sane".

  • Amanda shows the beauty, knowledge, power and culture of Aboriginal woman in her artwork. She is Palawa descendant and through her practice can feel her ancestors beside her. She wishes the audience to see the light and power of Aboriginal woman, that they are the carriers of specific stories and creations that have been for thousands of years. By looking at the Artwork Amanda would like the viewer to be able to connect, absorb and feel the power, struggles and love these woman have.
